Greece needs to fully implement all measures agreed with the troika in order to achieve a stabilization of its public finances and to ensure its return to a sustainable path, Amadeu Altafaj, a spokesman for Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn, said on Friday.
Speaking to reporters, the EU spokesman said that since talks between Greek authorities and the troika would resume in the next two weeks it would be irresponsible for the European Commission to comment on scenarios on the need of taking additional fiscal measures.
Earlier, in a joint statement, the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the IMF concluded that the troika’s delegation to Athens made "satisfactory progress" in talks with Greek authorities in the framework of a fifth assessment of a Greek economic adjustment program.
