Students protesting against the latest round of reforms of university education ended their largest-ever march and rally on Thursday afternoon, with only minimal incidents marring the protest.
A small group of young men at the tail of the march threw blue paint at the entrance of the Bank of Greece as the march was drawing to its close, while tension between students guarding the march and youths bent on violence outside Parliament did not escalate but ended peacefully.
During the time the march was underway, Panepistimiou Street was closed to traffic, while the march passed by Stadiou Street and in front of Parliament to return to its starting point.
