A European Commission spokesman on Thursday reiterated that there is no issue over whether Greece will leave the Euro zone, hours after high-profile statements by the influential German finance minister.
"There is no debate at all on that," Amadeu Altafaj told a press briefing over such as possibility. 
German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said it was "up to Greece on whether it can fulfil conditions necessary for membership in the common currency".

Altafaj nevertheless warned that continuing bailout assistance to Greece was only possible if strict conditions are met.

"It is clear that the provision of financial assistance has always been for the first programme, and the successive programme, linked to a strong conditionality," he said
