Prime Minister George Papandreou will arrive in Thessaloniki on Friday and stay in the city for three days for the 76th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF). At 2 p.m. he will meet Mayor Yiannis Boutaris in the town hall and an hour later representatives of productive and social agencies in the same place.
The inauguration of the 76th TIF will not be carried out by Papandreou but by Regional Development, Competitiveness and Shipping Minister Mihalis Chryssohoidis at 9:30 on Saturday morning at the administration building.
Papandreou will be making an address at the TIF's I. Vellidis convention centre at 8 on Saturday night and will be presenting the main directions of the government's economic policy in the coming period.
On Sunday, the prime minister's press conference will not be taking place at the I. Vellidis convention centre but at Storehouse C of the Port Organisation at 1 p.m.
