The September contract on the FTSE 20 index was trading around its fair value in the Athens Derivatives Exchange on Friday, with turnover improving slightly to 52.066 million euros. Volume on the Big Cap index totaled 21,799 contracts worth 40.792 million euros, with 24,925 short positions in the market.
Volume in futures contracts on equities totaled 47,957 contracts worth 11.274 million euros, with investment interest focusing on National Bank’s contracts (17,974), followed by Eurobank (1,713), MIG (1,947), OTE (3,808), Piraeus Bank (5,081), Alpha Bank (5,222), Marfin Popular Bank (2,969), Mytilineos (1,161), Cyprus Bank (2,855), Hellenic Postbank (1,576) and ATEbank (753).
