Foreign Minister Stavros Lambrinidis will be making a joint visit to Tirana on Monday with his Italian counterpart Franco Frattini, representing the European Union, aiming at sending a resounding political message for the continuation of reforms in Albania and the lifting of the political deadlock in the neighbouring country.
The visit is the result of the implementation of a Greek proposal raised by the Greek Foreign minister at the General Affairs Council on June 20 and concerns the activation of the European Union in the direction of assisting the lifting of the deadlock in Albania.
