The General Chemical State Laboratory will conduct tests to discover which substances are stored in dozens of barrels found in a field in Drepano, Achaia prefecture, northwest Peloponnese, in southern Greece, authorities announced on Thursday.
The barrels contained a pulpy substance that caused respiratory and eye problems to people who came into contact with it.

The area has been cordoned off for precautionary reasons while a police investigation is underway to locate the owner of the barrels.
