Greek Defence Minister Panos Beglitis will be in Poland on Friday to participate in the EU Defence Ministers informal meeting called by the Polish EU presidency in the city of Wroclaw.
The meeting, which opens Thursday afternoon, will discuss issues relating to security in Europe and especially on its external borders, relations with NATO and Russia and the course of military operation in which the EU is involved such as those in Libya and the inspections against piracy in Somalia.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Beglitis will have bilateral talks with his European counterparts to brief them on the situation in southeastern Mediterranean and the tension caused by Turkey's stance in the area.
