Equity prices were declining at the opening of trade on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 0.87 percent, standing at 802.89 points at 10:45 am, and turnover at 3.615 million euros.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 1.51 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.02 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.24 percent.
Individual sector indices were moving downwards, with the biggest gains in Chemicals, up 0.37 percent, and Personal and Household Goods, up 0.21 percent.
The heaviest losses were in Banks, down 2.02 percent; and Travel and Recreation, down 2.02 percent.
Of the stocks traded, 12 were up, 20 were down, and 14 were unchanged.
