German Vice Chancellor and Economy and Technology Minister Philipp Roesler will be in Athens on Monday, at the invitation of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping Minister Mihalis Chryssohoidis.
The German official will be heading a large business delegation of German entrepreneurs who are active in the sectors of energy, real estate and industry.
The visit is taking place in the context of the two ministers' joint initiative to boost the German businesses' investment interest in Greece, enhance Greek exports to Germany and the provision of knowhow and management experience with respect to radical structural reforms in the real economy.
Moreover the German entrepreneurs will participate in the Hellenic-German Business Forum organised by the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEB), the Chamber of Trade and Commerce and the German Industries Federation (BDI). The German businessmen will also have a series of meetings with Greek entrepreneurs.
"A major effort is underway to attract German investments in Greece. This will be positive not only for the Germans but also for us," said Chryssohoidis, adding that "it is something that will profit both sides."
