Managing the crises in Libya, Afghanistan and Kosovo under economic crisis conditions and NATO's role were the main issues dealt with at the session of the Alliance's Defence ministers here on Thursday. Greece was represented by Defence Minister Panos Beglitis.
Speaking to reporters, the Defence minister stressed that due to the economic crisis the US clarified that it does not intend to cover over 70 percent of NATO's expenditures from now on and called on the other countries to increase their contributions.
However, as he added, at the present phase and with the economic crisis taking on global dimensions few countries will be able to respond.
