The Federation of Judicial Employees of Greece has announced a two-hour work stoppage in all Attica courts on Thursday, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. During the strike action there will be a protest rally outside the Administrative Reform ministry on Vassilisis Sofias Street. The judicial employees are demanding that the government immediately withdraw plans to apply the uniform public-sector wage and rank scale, the abolition of all laws that undermine social insurance entitlements and the exemption of court secretariats from the 10:1 rule for departures to hirings, as well as a fairer taxation system.
