Panathinaikos remained on course for a return to the top of the soccer Super League after a hard-fought 1-0 win at the icy pitch of PAS Giannina on Sunday night. Cleyton Silva scored the precious goal for the Greens in the 85th minute with a bicycle kick to decide a game delayed by 40 minutes since part of the pitch was very slippery.
Panathinaikos is four points behind Olympiakos but has two games in hand, the first one being against Doxa Dramas at home on Wednesday.
The Reds strolled to a 3-1 home win over Levadiakos thanks to a brace by Kevin Mirallas and a Panayiotis Korbos own goal. AEK, in third, drew 1-1 at home with Xanthi, who were leading via Marko Markovski before the Leonardo equalizer.
Fourth-placed PAOK came from 1-0 down to beat visiting Ergotelis 2-1 thanks to goals by Dimitris Salpingidis and Lino.
Elsewhere Panionios beat Panetolikos 1-0 and OFI downed Doxa 2-0, while the Atromitos vs Aris and Kerkyra vs Asteras Tripolis matches ended scoreless.
