Greece's president has invited the leaders of the country's three biggest parties plus a smaller, moderate leftist group to take part in talks to form a coalition government on Monday, reports said late Sunday

Karolos Papoulias has invited the leaders of New Democracy, PASOK, SYRIZA and Democratic Left for talks at 7.30 p.m. after failure to reach a deal during the weekend.

However, SYRIZA officials have so far suggested that their leader, Alexis Tsipras, will not show up at the meeting.

After meeting with Papoulias and the conservative and socialist leaders this weekend, Tsipras said of their coalition offer: “They are not asking for agreement, they are asking us to be their partners in crime and we will not be their accomplices.”
