The September contract on the FTSE 20 index was trading at a small discount of 0.28 pct in the Athens Derivatives Exchange on Friday, with turnover remaining a low 24.401 million euros. Volume on the Big Cap index totaled 6,462 contracts worth 17.915 million euros, with 30,562 short positions in the market.

Volume in futures contracts on equities totaled 21,401 contracts worth 6.486 million euros, with investment interest focusing on National Bank’s contracts (6,415), followed by ATEbank (6,176), Eurobank (2,377), Alpha Bank (1,851), Piraeus Bank (1,407), Marfin Popular Bank (602) and OPAP (469).
