Deputy Mayor Anastasios Avrantinis said that the holdup has been caused be a legal complication in the renewal of the municipality’s contract with the private firm that provides the pay-and-display cards.
The municipal police have been instructed not to issue fines to drivers who park in the spaces allocated for visitors. However, other illegally parked cars will be penalized, said Avrantinis.
