— Greece’s Output Price Index in Agriculture and Livestock decreased by 1.5% while the Input Price Index in Agriculture and Livestock increased by 8.8% in June 2011 compared with June 2010, the independent Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Friday.

— Power consumption in Greece continued to decline relative to the previous year during the first seven months of 2011, despite a spike in consumption during the July heatwaves, according to figures released by the Hellenic Transmission System Operator S.A. (HTSO) on Friday.

— Despite the economic crisis that has gripped Greece, large supermarket chains have not stopped investment and are continuing to open new outlets, according to a survey carried out by the Institute of Retail Consumer Goods (IELKA).
