Gale force winds keep ferries in ports

Several ferry sailings from Greece’s main port of Piraeus were halted on Wednesday because of gale force winds, Skai reports. Boats are so far sailing as scheduled from the port of Rafina, eastern Attica, it said. Meanwhile, traffic police are warning the public to be aware of hazardous road conditions due to the ongoing downpours throughout the Attica region. Showers and winds were expected to ease by late Wednesday, the National Meteorological Service (EMY) said.
