Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias revealed the plans during an interview on state-run NET TV Friday, adding that the police would review the number of officers used to guard VIPs who are potential targets for criminals and terrorists.
Following the last review in autumn, the number of policemen on VIP duty was reduced to 486.
It was also revealed Friday that two FBI officers have come from the US to Larissa, central Greece, to train 25 members of the Thessaly police force in modern crimefighting methods.
