President briefed by agriculture minister

President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias on Friday received agricultural development and food minister Costas Skandalidis, who briefed him on the ongoing negotiations in the EU on reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

Skandalidis told reporters after the meeting that he proposed that the President undertake initiatives for a turn to production.

“The President knows the issue very well, knows what must be done for our country to survive, develop its production, sell its products, produce quality, and reinforce the farmers,” the minister said.
