Social sensitivity work stoppage on Wednesday
Metro, electric railway and tram drivers have called a work stoppage from the beginning of their shift until 8 in the morning on Wednesday December 29 during which, however, trains will be operating as normal.

Metro, electric railway and tram drivers have called a work stoppage from the beginning of their shift until 8 in the morning on Wednesday December 29 during which, however, trains will be operating as normal.
The reason for this move is because they agreed that the money that their companies would be deducting from their salary, due to the work stoppage, will be returned to them and they will then provide it for “our afflicted and suffering fellow citizens”, as they noted in a relevant announcement.
More specifically, they will support the effort concerning the providing of meals that is being organised at the initiative of the Athens Archdiocese (Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos) in cooperation with the municipality of Athens.
